CNC Swiss Lathe Machinist Carroll, Iowa $35
- 40/Hour + $150 Daily Per Diem ($1,050 Weekly) 50-60 Hours Per Week Available 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shift Openings Per Diem Eligible Travelers Welcome Position Overview Join a precision manufacturing team utilizing advanced CNC technology to produce complex, tight-tolerance components in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

10:00 PM- 6:00 AM Key Responsibilities Program, set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC Swiss lathes and multi-axis turn-mill machines.

Swiss Lathe (Siemens Controls) Index G200 Turn-Mill Center (Siemens Controls) Technical Experience Familiarity with G & M Codes and CNC programming concepts. Experience with Mastercam or similar CAM software. Experience with multi-axis machining strategies and complex machine setups. Knowledge of axis control for complex part geometries. Advanced knowledge of process optimization and cycle-time improvement techniques. Experience performing turning, milling, drilling, tapping, and threading operations. Exposure to Haas, Mazak, and other CNC machine brands and control systems. Experience working in high-volume precision manufacturing environments. Experience machining to tight tolerances. Familiarity with a variety of CNC equipment including CNC lathes, routers, lasers, burn tables, press brakes, press operations, and CNC saws. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is a highly skilled CNC Swiss machining professional with extensive hands-on experience programming, setting up, operating, and optimizing Swiss lathes and turn-mill equipment. Successful candidates will be capable of independently performing complete machine setups, optimizing programs for efficiency and quality, troubleshooting complex machining issues, and consistently producing precision components that meet demanding customer specifications. Employees work on advanced CNC equipment including Star ECAS and SR-Series Swiss lathes with Siemens and Fanuc controls, as well as Index G200 turn-mill centers. The environment emphasizes precision machining, safety, cleanliness, process control, and continuous improvement while supporting significant overtime opportunities for machinists seeking additional hours.
