Compensation:
$26.00 - $30.00 per hour About the Opportunity An established industrial manufacturing company is seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Machine Builder to join its growing team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys assembling custom equipment, solving mechanical challenges, and working in a hands-on manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in building high-quality equipment from the ground up while working alongside experienced technicians and engineers. This is a stable, full-time opportunity with consistent hours, overtime potential, and opportunities for long-term growth. Responsibilities Assemble custom industrial machinery and equipment using mechanical drawings and assembly instructions. Install mechanical components including bearings, shafts, gearboxes, motors, linear guides, cylinders, and structural assemblies. Perform machine alignment, fitting, and adjustment to ensure proper operation. Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and bills of materials. Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances. Troubleshoot mechanical issues during assembly and recommend practical solutions. Assist with machine testing, startup, and final inspections prior to shipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to meet production schedules. Accurately document completed work and report any material or assembly concerns. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in machine building, equipment assembly, maintenance, or a related mechanical field. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools. Ability to read mechanical drawings and assembly documentation. Experience using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures. Basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic components is preferred. Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
