Job Description

CNC Mill Machinist Saber Tool, an established machine shop in Cadillac, is seeking a CNC Machinist to join their Milling team. This position is a high functioning machinist role that requires set up, and operation of Fadal and Haas CNC Mills and troubleshooting equipment issues. Ideal candidates for this position possess a team oriented mindset with critical thinking skills. This is a first shift position, scheduled Monday thru Thursday from 6am-4pm. Pay is dependent upon experience. Range is $23 to $26 per hour
Essential Responsibilities :
Set up and operate Fadal and Haas CNC Mills Able to make the necessary offsets to keep parts in tolerance. Read blueprints to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction. Able to use and determine the appropriate inspection equipment including go/no go gages, ring gages, height gages, plug gages, micrometers, veneer gages, handheld bore and air gaging. Records quality control and production output information Performs preventative maintenance of machines. Keeps work area organized and clean
Requirements:
CNC setup and operation experience (5 years required) Programming experience with Fusion or MasterCam (3 years preferred) Ability to perform complex mathematical processes and analyze results to execute corrective action Be able to lift and load stock material into machines Ability to effectively communicate with team members •Please apply with references who can speak to your abilities and attendance record•
