In this role, you will operate and program CNC machines, including lathes and milling machines, to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will drive efficiency and excellence in our production processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about machining, manufacturing, and continuous improvement to contribute to innovative projects and grow their skills within a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines such as CNC lathes, bridgeport, lathe and milling machines using Mazak or similar controls. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications to ensure precise manufacturing. Set up and run Mazak CNC Mill, Bridgeport, Lathe Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring instruments to verify part accuracy. Maintain machine tools and tooling, including hand tools and power tools, ensuring they are properly calibrated and in excellent condition. Conduct quality inspections throughout the machining process using precision measuring instruments to uphold tight tolerances. Assist with setup adjustments, tool changes, and troubleshooting to maximize machine uptime while adhering to lean manufacturing principles. Follow safety protocols diligently while operating machinery such as CNC mills, CNC lathes, bridgeport, or other equipment. Qualifications Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with a strong understanding of CNC programming in environments utilizing Mazak or similar controls. Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T specifications, and using CAD software like MasterCam, or general CAD tools. Mechanical knowledge of machining processes including turning, milling, EDM , and tooling setups. Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, feeds & speeds, and tolerances essential for high-quality machining. Experience working with CNC lathes and milling machines using Mazak controls or equivalent systems. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and waste reduction on the shop floor. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, forklifts, and other shop machinery safely. Strong mechanical aptitude combined with excellent attention to detail ensures consistent quality output.
