7:00am-3:30pm, 11:00pm-7:00am QPS Employment Group is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Setup Machinist to join a team in Hartland, WI. This position is responsible for the setup and operation of CNC Vertical Machining Centers and Horizontal CNC Lathes to produce precision components according to engineering specifications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong machining knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality. This is a direct hire opportunity on 1st or 3rd shift. CNC Machinist Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Set up and operate CNC Vertical Machining Centers and Horizontal CNC Lathes
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
• Install and align tooling, fixtures, and machine components according to job requirements
• Load CNC programs, make necessary edits to ensure part accuracy, and perform first-piece and in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments
• Monitor machine operations, detect and correct any deviations or malfunctions, and ensure parts are produced to the required specifications
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, follow safety and 5S standards, and collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and production goals
• Troubleshoot and resolve setup, tooling, or machine-related issues

CNC Machinist Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience setting up and operating CNC Vertical Machining Centers and Horizontal CNC Lathes
• Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
• A solid understanding of feeds, speeds, cutting tool applications, and familiarity with editing CNC programs at the control such as Fanuc or Haas
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work
• Must be able to use precision measuring instruments
• Stand for extended periods and lift up to the required weight safely
• Preferred experience in multi-axis machining or live tooling lathes as well as those familiar with SPC, lean manufacturing practices, or

ISO 9001

quality standards

• Forklift certification or experience with material handling is also a plus
