This position works in a fast-paced custom job shop environment where each job is unique, requiring adaptability, problem-solving, and strong machining skills. Previous CNC lathe experience is required. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC lathes to machine precision components from a variety of materials, including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and cast iron. Install and adjust tooling, workholding, and fixtures. Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, setup sheets, and work instructions. Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment. Make tooling, offset, and machining parameter adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency. Troubleshoot machining, tooling, dimensional, and machine-related issues. Load CNC programs and perform basic program edits as needed. Qualifications Previous CNC lathe machining experience required. Proficient with offsets, tooling adjustments, and wear compensation. Working knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, speeds, feeds, and machining processes. Ability to inspect parts and maintain close tolerances. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
