We are looking for a CNC machinist, who will be responsible for CNC operations, programs, setup, and updates of programs written by CAM. We are looking for more experienced CNC machinists, as well as entry level machinists. Below are the expectations of this position. If you are interested and capable, please apply! Duties and responsibilities include below tasks and other supporting functions to accomplish the same: Perform setup and run CNC programs on assigned equipment per production schedule. Change cutting tools and adjust machine feeds and speeds as needed Read blueprints and prepare next jobs for reducing setup times. Utilize CNC controls to program manually cutting operations, milling, drilling, taping etc. Conduct hands on inspection of machined products utilizing precision equipment and tools required for quality control. Clean and maintain assigned CNC equipment and area. Complete start up checks and operation of key machine elements such as cooling and lubrication systems. Perform detailed time-keeping per job and tasks. Support Preventive Maintenance of CNC machines and equipment. Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.
Qualifications Minimum education requirements:
Highs school diploma Specialized training in fabrication and/ or machining.
Preferred education:
College diploma in CNC machining and manufacturing.
Experience:
Preferred 5 years previous experience in CNC Machining and manufacturing environment, preferably within the automotive manufacturing industry. Lead or supervisory experience preferred. Opportunity for a more entry level position, as well.
