Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Set-up technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and setting up CNC machining equipment to ensure precise and efficient production of plastic components. Your expertise in machine setup, tooling, and quality measurement will be vital in maintaining high standards of manufacturing excellence. Responsibilities Set up CNC machining centers, including lathes and milling machines, ensuring proper tooling and fixtures are installed according to specifications. Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to accurately configure machine setups. Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other measurement instruments to verify part dimensions and quality. Perform manual machining tasks when necessary using hand tools, grinders, lathes, or power tools to support production needs. Knowledge of mold assembly, prototype mold assmbly, spotting grinding and use of bridgepor machine. Qualifications Proven experience with CNC setup and CNC milling machines and CNC lathes. Strong knowledge of machining tools, measurement techniques, and precision measurement instruments such as micrometers and bore gauges. Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus. Ability to read complex blueprints and mechanical drawings accurately. Basic math skills for calculations related to machining tolerances and measurements. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and assembly instructions. Experience with CNC G-code programming, M-code functions, and machine setup procedures. Knowledge of manufacturing processes including manual machining, grinding, drilling, and assembly support. Strong attention to detail with excellent measurement skills using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision instruments. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
