Our facility includes 23 large CNC machines with capabilities including contour machining, vertical and horizontal machining, boring mill machining, and CNC programming. We are not a production shop. Our work is primarily one-off machining, which provides an opportunity to learn a wide variety of machines, setups, tooling, materials, and machining processes. We are looking for a motivated CNC Machinist Trainee who wants to learn the machining trade and develop into a skilled CNC machinist. Previous CNC machining experience is not required. We are willing to train the right person. What You'll Learn How to safely operate CNC machining equipment CNC vertical and horizontal machining Machine setup procedures Cutting tools and proper tool selection Work offsets and tool offsets Basic machining practices and techniques How different materials are machined Use of precision measuring equipment How to make adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy Troubleshooting basic tooling and machining issues Proper machine and work-area maintenance As your skills and experience grow, you'll be given more responsibility and the opportunity to work more independently on increasingly challenging jobs. What We're Looking For Mechanically inclined and comfortable working with tools and machinery Strong willingness to learn Dependable and punctual Good attention to detail Able to follow instructions and work safely Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment Willing to learn from experienced machinists Interested in developing machining into a long-term skilled trade Previous manufacturing, mechanical, automotive, fabrication, machine shop, or other hands-on experience is a plus, but not required.
