Job Description

Machine Operator & CNC Machinist (Entry-Advanced) - 1st Shift | Aitkin, MN Penmac Staffing is now hiring for multiple manufacturing positions including Machine Operator, CNC Machinist I, and CNC Machinist II for a trusted employer partner in Aitkin, MN. These are full-time, 1st shift roles working Monday-Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., offering a 3-day weekend every week.
Pay ranges based on experience:
Machine Operator (Entry Level): $17-$20/hour
CNC Machinist:
$20-$30/hour (higher pay considered for advanced skills or programming experience) Requirements for Machine Operator & CNC Machinist High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Machine Operator:
0-6 months manufacturing experience
Machinist I/II:
0-2+ years machining experience depending on level Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools (or willingness to learn for entry-level roles) Basic to moderate math skills (fractions, decimals, conversions) Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for up to 10 hours Must be willing to follow all safety policies and submit to pre-employment screening Machine Operator & CNC Machinist Responsibilities Operate machinery to produce metal components and meet daily production goals Perform quality checks and maintain accurate counts of materials and finished products Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Follow all safety protocols including lockout/tagout procedures Assist with tooling changes, deburring, and basic machine setup Machinist roles: Perform setups, adjustments, troubleshooting, and some programming edits Identify and report machining issues promptly Work across departments as needed and support production efficiency Why You'll Like These Manufacturing Jobs Competitive pay with room for advancement into higher-level machinist roles Consistent 4-day workweek with Fridays off Hands-on training available for entry-level candidates Long-term, temp-to-hire opportunities with growth potential Apply online today or contact Penmac Staffing - Brainerd Branch for more information.
