Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented CNC Machinist Mills/Lathes to join our team! In this role, you will operate and set up CNC milling machines and lathes to produce precision parts that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in programming, measuring, and machining will drive our commitment to excellence in high-performance manufacturing environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced equipment and contribute to critical projects across multiple industries. Responsibilities Operate, set up, and program CNC mills and lathes using CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks and other CNC programming tools Read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure precise manufacturing Utilize precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) to verify part dimensions Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime Select appropriate tooling and tooling setups for various machining tasks while adhering to safety standards Apply lean manufacturing principles to optimize machining processes and reduce waste Collaborate with team members on assembly processes involving plastics injection molding, welding, or other fabrication techniques Qualifications Proven experience operating CNC milling machines and CNC lathes with Fanuc controls or similar systems Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code or M-code Ability to read complex blueprints and technical drawings accurately Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, and precision measurement tools Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM), CAM programming, SolidWorks, CAD software, and GD&T standards Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances Experience working in high-precision environments such as aerospace or medical manufacturing is a plus Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Join us at K&G Manufacturing where your skills will make a real impact!
