Full-time | 1st Shift | Saint Michael, MN About Us We are a small, family-owned precision CNC machining company located in Saint Michael, Minnesota. We have been in business for over 40 years and manufacture precision metal and plastic components for a variety of customers. We are looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined person who wants to learn a skilled trade. No previous CNC machining experience is required. We train the right person in-house. If you enjoy working with your hands, fixing things, working on cars, trucks, tractors, motorcycles, or other equipment, you may be a great fit for this position. What You'll Do As you learn the job, you will: Operate CNC turning and/or Swiss-style CNC machines Load and unload raw material and finished parts Monitor machines while they are running Perform basic machine adjustments as you become proficient Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment Follow work instructions, prints, and inspection requirements Keep machines and your work areas clean and organized Identify problems with machines, tooling, material, or parts and communicate them to your team Learn how to set up and operate increasingly complex CNC equipment What We're Looking For No machining experience is required. We are looking for someone who is: Dependable and consistently shows up for work Willing to learn and take direction Mechanically inclined and enjoys figuring out how things work Comfortable working with tools and machinery Able to pay attention to detail and follow instructions Able to work independently once trained Comfortable standing and moving around for most of the workday Interested in learning a skilled trade and increasing their earning potential over time Previous experience working on cars, trucks, tractors, farm equipment, motorcycles, small engines, construction equipment, or similar projects is a plus—but not required . Manufacturing, warehouse, automotive, agricultural, construction, or other hands-on work experience is also helpful. Training & Advancement You do not need to attend machining school before applying. We provide hands-on training in our shop. As you become more capable and independent, your responsibilities and pay can increase. Our goal is to develop dependable employees into skilled CNC machinists. Employees who demonstrate strong attendance, reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to learn can advance quickly.
