Job Description

Company Overview Ironwood Electronics specializes in providing high-performance test sockets and adapters designed for engineering development and production environments. Our commitment is to deliver innovative solutions that meet the rigorous demands of modern electronic testing. Overview We are seeking a skilled CNC Lead Machinist for second shift to oversee and execute complex machining operations. This role involves leading a team of machinists, setting up CNC machines, and ensuring precision quality in manufacturing metal components. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in CNC machining, programming, and mechanical blueprint interpretation, contributing to our mission of manufacturing excellence. Core Responsibilities Lead and coordinate the 2nd shift machining team to meet or exceed production goals Assign priorities and monitor job flow while working along with your teammates. Support operators with job inspections setups and any troubleshooting. Collaborate with 1st shift supervisor to solve manufacturing challenges. Train and mentor 2nd shift staff to develop skills and improve performance. Technical Skills 5+ years of CNC machining experience with the ability to program setup and run. 5+ years of CNC programming using Gibbs cam and ability to write/edit programs when needed. Experience with troubleshooting is a plus. Familiarity with multi-axis CNC, HAAS, and Fanuc controllers. Performance Expectations Consistent quality output with minimal scrap/rework Ability to maintain production schedules and communicate delays or issues promptly Efficient machine utilization and identification of process improvements Safety compliance and readiness for emergency work when required. Education & Training High school diploma or equivalent. Any extra schooling or training is a plus.
