Job Summary:
The CNC Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining, an eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation:
Set-up and operate Tsugami CNC machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. Majority of parts are under 50mm (2 inches) in diameter and length.
Quality Control:
Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Make adjustments to machines as necessary to maintain product quality and tolerances.
Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
Safety Compliance:
Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols and company policies. Report any safety concerns or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of production output, machine performance, and any issues encountered during operation.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the production team, supervisors, and quality control inspectors to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of orders.
Continuous Improvement:
Develop and modify CNC programs to optimize production efficiency and part quality.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Experienced in operating CNC machines or similar precision machining equipment.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of machine operations, tooling, and set-up procedures. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Attention to
Detail:
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues independently.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks as required.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Technical or vocational training in machining or a related field is preferred.
Team Player:
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Must be able to pass background and drug test.
