Responsibilities Assist in the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of diverse machinery including CNC laser cutters, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, press brake machines, plasma cutters, electrical discharge machines (EDM), and forming machines. Support the safe operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment to move raw materials and finished products within the shop floor. Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math to ensure precise machining and fabrication of metal components. Conduct measurements using precision measuring instruments for quality control purposes, ensuring parts meet specifications. Perform basic machine maintenance, tooling changes, and setup adjustments to optimize production efficiency. Adhere strictly to safety protocols during all operations, including proper use of hand tools, measuring devices, and safety gear. Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks and metal fabrication projects to meet production deadlines with high-quality standards. Requirements Proven experience operating manufacturing machinery such as CNC laser cutting systems, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, plasma cutters, EDM machines, press brakes, or forming equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately. Skilled in using measuring instruments for quality inspection and precision measurement in machining processes. Familiarity with shop math, basic math skills necessary for machine setup and measurement calculations. Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently; certification preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of safety standards in manufacturing environments and commitment to maintaining a safe workspace. Experience with sheet metal fabrication techniques including forming machines and tooling setup is a plus.
