35 Position Summary We are currently hiring experienced 1st Class Outside Machinists for a major shipyard in Pascagoula, MS. This position is responsible for the installation, alignment, maintenance, and repair of shipboard machinery and mechanical equipment. Candidates must have strong mechanical experience, be comfortable working from blueprints, and be proficient with precision measuring instruments. Job Responsibilities

• Install, align, maintain, and repair shipboard machinery
• Work with propulsion machinery, auxiliary motors, pumps, and ventilation equipment
• Install and align reduction gears, bearings, and shafting
• Work with propellers, rudders, steering gear, and steering engine assemblies
• Install and repair galley and laundry equipment
• Lay out passage holes through bulkheads, decks, and other ship surfaces for shafting, piping, and related connections
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
• Use precision measuring instruments including calipers and micrometers
• Perform machinery alignment and ensure equipment meets required specifications
• Follow all shipyard safety procedures and requirements Requirements
• Minimum 4+ years of professional Outside Machinist experience
• 4+ years of shipyard Outside Machinist experience strongly preferred
• Experience installing, repairing, and aligning marine/shipboard machinery
• Strong blueprint-reading skills
• Experience with pumps, motors, bearings, shafting, gears, propellers, rudders, and related mechanical equipment
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments
• Must be able to travel to Pascagoula, MS for a formal in-person interview for testing
• Must pass a hair follicle drug screen
• Must pass a 10-year background check with no felony convictions
• Must meet applicable eligibility requirements for per diem Compensation $40.
