This role is ideal for a true machinist who understands CNC milling, tooling, feeds and speeds, chip management, and process optimization in a high-volume production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality precision components while maximizing efficiency, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Program, setup and operate multi-axis CNC machines (3• 4•and 5-axis and mill-turn/multi-tasking machines) to produce parts to print and work orders.
Interpret engineering drawings and apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) to verify critical features and tolerances.
Set up, operate, and adjust CNC milling equipment for production runs
Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and manufacturing drawings
Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment
Make tooling, offset, feed, and speed adjustments to maintain quality and production targets
Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and equipment issues to reduce downtime
Monitor tool life and recommend process improvements
Utilize High Efficiency Milling (HEM) principles to improve cycle times, chip control, and overall machining performance
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to improve throughput and reduce scrap Required Qualifications 5+ years of CNC machining experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
Strong CNC milling setup and operation experience
Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T
Experience with precision measuring instruments and quality inspections
Strong understanding of tooling, feeds/speeds, offsets, chip management, and tool life optimization
Ability to troubleshoot machining processes and improve efficiency
Experience working in a high-volume production environment
Preferred Qualifications:
High Efficiency Milling (HEM) experience
Fanuc, Siemens, or Heidenhain controls experience
Aerospace, medical device, automotive, industrial manufacturing, or other precision-machining background
