Rio Rancho, NM Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Stainless steel Full Job Description Description We have an immediate opening for a highly skilled, talented and experienced CNC machinist. Because we work almost exclusively in stainless steel, having experience with machining practices for this material is required. Our machining operation features exceptional capabilities including 3-4 axis CNC mills. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with engineers to transform their designs into high quality finished products. Role and Responsibilities Read and understand blueprints Evaluate and comprehend engineering information provided Set-up, operate and manage CNC mill machines Use precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers and bore gauges to measure parts throughout the machining process to ensure conformity to specifications Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary adjustments such as offsets to produce the end product Check machinery on a daily basis to ensure they are functioning properly Qualifications and Education Requirements Formal machining training or equivalent hands-on experience 2-5 years relevant experience Skills Ability to read, understand and generate G Code as well as knowledge of Master Cam or a similar system Keen attention to detail to hold tight tolerances in accordance with blue prints Proficient in turning and boring for lathes and in milling for mills Strong command of machining best practices and analytical ability to troubleshoot when issues arise Good computer and mathematical skills Excellent organizational skills to keep more than one machine running at a time Manages time well for optimum efficiency Communicates clearly with coworkers Physical Requirements Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Able to stand for long periods of time
