Setup and operate
CNC Mills, and Lathes:
2 & 3 axis. CNC programming is a plus-manual or Smartcam. Also looking for experienced manual machinist. Duties Read and interpret complex mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements. Set up and operate CNC machines such as lathes, mills, using CNC G-code programming, Fanuc controls, Haas controls and CAM software like SolidWorks and CAD. Program CNC equipment utilizing M-code commands and Mazatrol conversational programming to optimize machining processes. Conduct machine setup procedures ensuring proper tooling, fixtures, and calibration for high-precision manufacturing. Inspect finished parts using precision measurement tools to verify dimensions against blueprints and GD&T standards; perform quality control checks during production. Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues promptly to minimize downtime. Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying opportunities for process improvements and waste reduction. Skills Proficiency with CNC programming languages including G-code and M-code; experience with Fanuc and Haas controls. Strong understanding of CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, CAD programs, and CAM programming for toolpath creation. Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret blueprints with GD&T specifications. Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other measurement devices for quality inspection. Basic math skills necessary for calculations related to measurements, tolerances, and machine settings.
Pay:
$18.00 - $30.00 per hour
