Our machining operation features exceptional capabilities including lathes and mills, plus a full range of manual machines including gear-cutting and CNC equipment. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with engineers to transform their designs into high quality finished products. This role is vital in achieving our goal of delivering Perfect Parts On Time. Role and Responsibilities Read and understand blueprints Evaluate and comprehend engineering information provided Set-up and operate machine tools per direction Use precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers and bore gauges to measure parts throughout the machining process to ensure conformity to specifications Check output for quality assurance Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary adjustments such as offsets to produce the end product Check machinery on a daily basis to ensure they are functioning properly Maintains a safe and clean workstation Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed Qualifications and Education Requirements High school degree or equivalent Formal machining training or hands-on experience is a plus Working knowledge of safety protocols Skills Excellent coordination and mechanical skills Keen attention to detail, accuracy, and safety Proficient in math Basic computer skills Manages time well for optimum efficiency Communicates clearly with coworkers Physical Requirements Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and able to stand for long periods of time
