Job Description
Now Hiring; A Tool Maker Join an industry leader with over 30 years of experience designing and building innovative automation and test systems for the medical, aerospace, defense, and industrial markets. We are seeking a skilled Tool Maker/Machinist to manufacture precision tooling and components that support cutting-edge manufacturing processes. Responsibilities Set up and operate manual machine tools, including lathes, mills, and grinders. Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to produce precision components. Measure, inspect, and verify parts using precision measuring instruments. Fit, assemble, and modify tooling, fixtures, and machined components as required. Maintain quality standards and ensure all work meets specifications. Support continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with team members on manufacturing solutions. Train and assist operators with machine setup and best practices as needed. Essential Skills 3+ years of tool & die, machining, or apprenticeship experience. Proficient with manual mills, lathes, and precision measuring tools. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and perform shop math calculations. Experience with CAM programming, AutoCAD, and tool fabrication beneficial. Ability to collaborate with engineers, train apprentices, and support production needs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spencerport, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
