Job Description

EverStaff, a specialized recruiting firm, is actively searching for potential candidates for Direct Hire positions with one of our top clients. These positions entail direct employment with the client that offers exceptional work culture, benefits, PTO, and growth potential. We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist / Machine Operator to set up and operate CNC, NC, conventional, and special-purpose machines and machining centers. The ideal candidate will be able to read blueprints and work orders, perform machine setups, use precision measuring equipment, inspect finished parts, and make adjustments to ensure products meet quality and dimensional specifications.
CNC Machinist/Machine Operator Pay Rate:
$24.00 - $34.00 per hour; based on experience
Shift:
1st Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC, NC, conventional, and special-purpose machines and machining centers. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, specifications, manuals, and other production documentation. Determine dimensions, tolerances, sequence of operations, tooling requirements, and machine setup requirements. Select, install, align, and secure cutting tools, fixtures, attachments, accessories, and materials. Load, unload, position, and maneuver parts into and out of machines safely. Set machine controls for speed, feed, coolant flow, depth of cut, and angle of cut according to established procedures. Enter, retrieve, and make approved edits to computerized machine-control programs as required. Perform machine trial runs to verify setup accuracy, tooling, and programmed control data. Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain proper machining conditions and product quality. Identify machine malfunctions, tooling problems, and out-of-tolerance conditions and communicate issues to supervision. Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet blueprint, dimensional, and quality requirements. Use precision measuring and inspection equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools. Perform routine and basic preventive maintenance on machines and equipment. Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas and perform daily housekeeping. Complete required production paperwork and documentation accurately. Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements. Follow supervisor instructions and established production procedures. Maintain a professional and positive working relationship with coworkers, supervisors, and management. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience operating CNC, NC, or conventional machining equipment preferred. Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, and work orders. Ability to use precision measuring and inspection equipment. Basic understanding of machining processes, tooling, feeds, speeds, and machine setup. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to identify and communicate equipment or production issues. Ability to safely lift, position, and maneuver parts as required. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to workplace safety, cleanliness, and quality standards.
