We design, engineer, fabricate, and install metal equipment, with a specialty in food processing and manufacturing systems. We're adding an experienced full time machinist to our machining department to support projects that need precision turned and milled parts. You'll run manual and CNC lathes and mills, work from drawings, and hold tight tolerances with little supervision. Turnover here is low and you won't be a number. Schedule is 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with some overtime during busy periods. Competitive hourly rate based on skill and output, paid weekly. Duties Set up, operate, and adjust manual and CNC lathes, mills, and grinders, including DRO and semi automated equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and technical drawings to plan machining operations. Select the right tools, speeds, feeds, and materials for each job. Produce finished parts within a couple thousandths with a quality surface finish. Inspect and measure your own work with micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machines and equipment. Keep production records and flag any drawing discrepancies or equipment issues. Work with fabrication, welding, and engineering to keep projects on schedule. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Experience 5+ years on conventional lathes and mills in a manufacturing or fabrication setting. Experience using and programming manual, DRO, and semi automated machines. CNC experience is a plus. Strong blueprint and drawing reading. Skilled with precision measuring tools. Good math and a problem solver's head. Able to produce timely, quality parts with little to no supervision. Able to stand a full shift and lift 50 lbs. Valid driver's license.
Pay:
$19.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
