A Machinist builds and repairs precisely detailed and sized metal parts used in a variety of tools and appliances. Builds parts following a blueprint or creates original designs.
We are seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to fabricate, modify, and repair precision components, tooling, fixtures, and machine parts for an aerospace manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has strong manual machining skills, blueprint-reading ability, and a commitment to quality and precision.
Requirements:
Previous Manual Machinist experience required , including setup and operation of manual mills and lathes. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, routers, and specifications. Proficient in shop math, machining practices, and determining appropriate feeds, speeds, tooling, and machining methods. Ability to machine parts accurately within required tolerances and quality standards. Aerospace component or exotic material machining experience preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. High School Diploma or GED required; reliable attendance, attention to detail, and strong work ethic.
Responsibilities:
Set up and operate manual horizontal lathes, mills, and other machining equipment. Fabricate, modify, and repair precision parts, tooling, machine components, fixtures, and gauges. Perform manual machining operations including turning, boring, facing, threading, reaming, and related processes. Determine machining sequences, tooling, feeds, speeds, and methods required to complete assigned work. Inspect completed parts to ensure conformance with blueprints, specifications, tolerances, and quality requirements. Troubleshoot machining challenges and make adjustments to achieve required specifications. Maintain a safe, clean work environment while following all company safety, quality, and operating procedures. #
