SETUP TECHNICIAN
Renhill is working with a local company here in Fremont, OH who is a leading manufacturing company committed to quality and excellence. We are looking for a Lathe Setup Technician to join our team! Friday, Saturday and Sunday 6am-6pm $19.00HR The Lathe Setup Technician is responsible for setting up, adjusting, and maintaining CNC and/or manual lathes to ensure efficient production of precision components. This position focuses on accurate machine setup, first-piece inspection, troubleshooting, and maintaining quality throughout production runs. What You'll Do Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, work orders, manuals, and specifications. Set up and operate CNC and/or manual lathes. Load bars and unload completed parts for further processing. Measure and inspect parts using micrometers, gauges, and other precision tools . Verify dimensions, tolerances, and alignment according to prints. Maintain proper oil and coolant levels. Inspect equipment for maintenance or wear issues and report concerns to a supervisor. Change drills, tools, and replacement parts as needed. Remove chips from machines throughout the shift and at the end of the shift. Complete daily production and maintenance logs. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Perform other duties necessary to successfully operate CNC machines and produce quality parts. What We're Looking For Previous manufacturing experience preferred. Basic computer and mathematical skills. Ability to read micrometers. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Good organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry at least 35 pounds throughout the shift. Ability to stand for extended periods, including up to 8 hours . Ability to use small tools and equipment. Ability to communicate and work effectively with team members. Work Environment This position may involve exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and loud noise. Hearing protection is required in designated areas and is available to all employees.
