Job Description

SWA is hiring for night shift CNC Lathe Machinists in Troy, OH!
Pay:
$ 25
  • $35 hr (based on skill) +10% shift differential
Shift:
Training Shift
  • Monday
  • Thursday 6:00 am
  • 4:30 pm (Overtime possible)
Assigned Shift:
Monday-Thursday, 8:00 p.m
  • 6:00 a.
m. Overtime required based on production needs.
Consideration Requirements:
Must pass a criminal background check and drug test High school diploma or GED is required At Least 3 years of CNC lathe machining experience, including machine setup. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, gages, and work instructions. Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills, including decimal calculations. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work. Effective problem-solving and communication skills. Dependability, regular attendance, and the ability to work well with coworkers and leadership. Availability to work required overtime, which may be substantial during peak production periods.
Daily Duties:
Set up and operate horizontal CNC lathes to produce precision parts that meet customer specifications. Perform turning, reaming, boring, facing, and threading operations. Read blueprints, job routers, and work instructions to determine tooling needs and the sequence of operations. Maintain close tolerances and achieve required surface finishes. Use precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques to verify dimensional accuracy and finished-part quality. Identify machining issues and contribute to process improvements. Meet established quality and productivity standards while following safety procedures and wearing required PPE. Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist with other equipment or duties as needed.
