About HK Technologies HK Technologies is a manufacturer of industrial screening and separation equipment used in industries including food, pharmaceutical, chemical, plastics, and other powder and bulk solids applications. We are looking for a Machinist / Machinist Trainee to join our manufacturing team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced machinist looking for a stable, hands-on position or for someone early in their machining career who has a strong mechanical aptitude and is interested in developing their skills. We are willing to train the right candidate. What You'll Do In this role, you'll work with our manufacturing team to produce components used in our industrial equipment and replacement parts.
Responsibilities include:
Operate manual and CNC lathes, manual mills, drill presses, and other shop equipment Read and work from drawings, blueprints, and part specifications Take accurate measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools Perform machine setups and select appropriate tooling and machine settings Make adjustments and offsets as needed to maintain part quality Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications Troubleshoot machining and production issues Maintain tooling, machines, and work areas Complete routine machine maintenance as needed Work with engineering and production team members to determine the best way to manufacture parts Follow established safety and quality procedures Assist with other manufacturing activities as needed

Experienced candidates:
Previous machining experience with manual and/or CNC equipment is preferred.
Entry-level candidates:
Recent graduates of machining, CNC, manufacturing, or technical programs are encouraged to apply. We're also open to candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience who are interested in learning the trade.

Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to read measurements accurately and pay close attention to detail Good problem-solving skills Willingness to learn and ask questions Dependability and a strong work ethic Ability to work independently as skills develop Commitment to producing quality work Ability to work effectively as part of a small manufacturing team Experience reading blueprints and using precision measuring equipment is a plus, but we are willing to train candidates who have the right foundation and attitude. Training & Growth For candidates early in their machining career, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside an experienced machinist and develop your skills on the job. The goal is to progress from learning our equipment and processes to independently completing setups, producing parts from drawings, making machine adjustments, troubleshooting problems, and taking ownership of jobs from drawing through finished part. As your skills, independence, and responsibilities increase, your growth will be considered as part of compensation reviews and future opportunities within the company.
Pay:
$21.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
