Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Welder/Machinist and become a vital part of our fabrication and manufacturing operations! In this role, you will combine your expertise in welding and machining to create high-quality metal components, interpret technical drawings, and ensure precise fabrication according to industry standards. Your hands-on skills will contribute to the assembly of complex structures, metal parts, and custom fabrications, all while adhering to strict safety protocols. This position offers an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals eager to apply their mechanical knowledge and craftsmanship in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to guide welding and machining tasks. Perform various welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten I to join metal materials with precision. Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other hand tools to ensure accurate dimensions and tolerances during fabrication. Operate power tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment for cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal and other metal components. Fabricate metal parts by cutting, welding, grinding, drilling, and assembling according to specifications while maintaining AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols diligently during all phases of fabrication and welding processes. Collaborate with team members on assembly projects, ensuring quality control and adherence to project timelines. Qualifications Proven experience working on construction sites or in fabrication shops with a strong understanding of mechanical fabrication processes. Skilled in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding. Proficient in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and interpreting mechanical blueprints accurately. Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math for precise measurements. Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, plasma cutting, machining operations, and assembly procedures. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, cranes, and other fabrication equipment safely. Mechanical knowledge related to metal materials, structural assembly, and safety protocol adherence is essential.
