Overview We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience setting up and operating CNC lathes to produce precision cylindrical components and other machined parts to exact specifications. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC lathe machines using detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Program CNC lathes utilizing G-code and M-code to produce complex parts with precision. Interpret mechanical blueprints to determine machining sequences and tooling requirements. Conduct machine setups, including tool changes, calibration, and alignment using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and precision measurement instruments. Troubleshoot machining issues promptly by adjusting machine parameters or tooling as needed for optimal performance. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and properly handling manual tools, power tools, grinders, and other machining equipment. Skills Previous CNC lathe experience preferred. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Experience using precision measuring instruments. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn. CNC programming/editing experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of machining tools, manual machining techniques, and machine setup procedures. Familiarity with CNC milling machines, grinders, bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
