Manual Machinist
Job Description
Step into a hands-on manufacturing environment where manual machining makes a real difference every day. This Manual Machinist opportunity supports a busy job shop with varied parts, including electric motor rebuilds and component repair, in a 60,000-square-foot facility. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Manual Machinist position include: 2+ years of hands-on experience working in a manual machine shop or job shop (more experience preferred). Independently set up and operate manual machining equipment, including manual lathes and/or boring mills. Read blueprints and use micrometers to machine parts to approximately 0.0005" tolerance. Experience machining or repairing components for electric motors, pumps, or similar industrial equipment. Set up, indicate, and machine parts to required specifications. Machine and repair components such as upper and lower bearing housings. Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts as applicable. Work the 7:00 AM-3:30 PM schedule and complete required overtime when requested.
Salary:
$25-$35/hour DOE.Benefits:
