CNC Machinist

Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team on 1st Shift. The primary responsibility of this position is to set up and operate CNC and manual lathes to perform precision turning, threading, and finish machining on a variety of materials while consistently meeting required specifications and tolerances. The position may also involve straightening steel material to meet required dimensional and quality specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a team-focused manufacturing environment. Essential Functions Set up and operate standard CNC and manual lathe equipment to produce precision-machined components. Perform precision turning, threading, and finish turning to required dimensions and tolerances. Straighten steel material using appropriate equipment and methods to meet required specifications. Inspect materials and finished components to ensure conformance with established quality standards. Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and GD&T requirements. Select and properly use precision measuring instruments and manufacturing tools. Perform minor routine equipment maintenance and assist with troubleshooting as needed. Follow established safety, quality, manufacturing, and operating procedures. Complete required production, quality, and maintenance documentation accurately. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Experience 1-2 years of related machining experience preferred. Understanding of precision manufacturing tools, equipment, and their proper use. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Basic knowledge of GD&T symbols, tolerancing, and blueprint reading. Ability to accurately use precision measuring equipment. Previous quality inspection or quality control experience is a plus. Ability and willingness to follow instructions and work independently. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Good verbal and written communication skills. Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a highly motivated, team-driven environment. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet production requirements while maintaining quality standards.
