CNC Machinist Our client is seeking a CNC Machinist to join their precision manufacturing team. This individual will play a key role in producing high-quality machined components by operating CNC milling equipment, performing in-process inspections, and supporting efficient production in a safety-focused environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a collaborative manufacturing setting where quality and consistency are top priorities. These roles are on-site at multiple locations throughout the Portland, Oregon metro and Washougal, Washington areas, with weekday and weekend shift opportunities available. Specific location, schedule, and position details will vary based on experience and current openings. CNC Machinist Responsibilities Operate CNC milling equipment to manufacture precision components according to established programs, setup documentation, and production specifications. Inspect parts throughout the milling process using precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions, tolerances, and overall quality. Load raw materials, secure fixtures, confirm tooling is properly installed, and make routine machine adjustments including tool offsets and wear compensation. Monitor equipment performance during production, identify milling or quality concerns, and communicate issues involving tooling, machine alarms, or dimensional variances. Perform secondary manufacturing tasks such as deburring, tapping, cleaning, and finishing parts as required. Complete production documentation, inspection records, and part counts while supporting established quality control procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following company safety practices and assisting with additional production activities as needed. CNC Machinist Qualifications Experience operating CNC mills or CNC milling equipment, including horizontal machining centers or similar production machinery. Working knowledge of milling fundamentals and the ability to interpret and follow detailed written and verbal instructions. Experience using precision inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other measuring tools. Ability to perform basic machine adjustments and safely operate common shop equipment, including lifting devices and production tools. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work in a production environment. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with coworkers and maintaining reliable attendance. Ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift materials up to 50 pounds while working safely in a temperature-controlled manufacturing environment with required personal protective equipment. Reliable transportation and flexibility to work overtime when needed to support production schedules.
