General Job Description for a CNC Set Up Machinist Machinists prepare and operate a variety of machines to production parts for the pharmaceutical, nuclear, and paper industries. Experience as a machinist with the following machines is highly beneficial: Yama Seiki Horizontal Model BL3018S with Fanuc 18i-MB Controls G&L Horizontal with Fanuc Series oi-Model F Plus Controls Yama Seiki VMC Model BM-1600 with Fanuc 18i-MB Controls Duties/Responsibilities for a CNC Set Up Machinist Setup and operate CNC Machines with Fanuc Controls (G Code) Ability to program and edit programs at the CNC machine Select and set all tooling Machine, deburr, and inspect parts to drawing specs Ability to setup and verify allowances and machine complex weldments Skills/Qualifications for a CNC Set Up Machinist 3-5 years experience as a C Strong drawing reading skills plus GD&T understanding Strong measuring and inspection skills Must have an understanding of the different speeds, feeds, and their relation to material Educational/Physical Requirements for a C Machining Certifications or Degree Willingness to operate overhead cranes to load and unload machine Exposure to moving machinery, dust, dirt, grease, or other disagreeable elements R-V Industries, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
