Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Mill Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and set up CNC milling machines to produce precision metal components. Your expertise in machining tools, blueprint reading, and CNC programming will be essential in delivering high-quality parts efficiently and accurately. Duties Operate CNC milling machines, including CNC mills and machining centers, ensuring precise production according to specifications Set up machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and calibrating equipment for each job Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to determine machining requirements Program CNC machines using G-code and M-code commands, including Fanuc controls and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other measurement instruments to verify part accuracy Perform machine maintenance, tool changes, and troubleshooting to maintain optimal operation Inspect finished parts for quality compliance through CNC quality inspection procedures and measurement techniques Requirements Proven experience operating CNC milling machines with proficiency in CNC G-code programming and Fanuc controls Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, mechanical blueprint interpretation, and GD&T standards Familiarity with machining tools such as grinders, lathes, hand tools, power tools, and tooling setup Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and apply mechanical knowledge effectively Experience with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software like SolidWorks or similar is preferred Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining processes Mechanical aptitude with understanding of metal machining processes including electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a plus Ability to work independently with attention to detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Join us at Hillside Custom Machining & Fabrication where your skills will be valued as we continue our tradition of excellence in manufacturing.
