Midwest Technology CNC & Automation Repair, LLC is looking for an experienced CNC Field Service Technician to join our growing team. This is a hands-on field service position for someone who can troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain CNC machine tools. We are looking for a technician who understands how CNC machines work mechanically and electrically and is comfortable working independently at customer facilities. This is not a CNC operator or production machinist position. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair CNC machine tools Diagnose mechanical, electrical, servo, spindle, and control-related problems Perform CNC machine preventive maintenance Diagnose machine alarms and faults Repair and replace mechanical components, including ballscrews, bearings, way components, and related assemblies Troubleshoot motors, drives, encoders, sensors, switches, and electrical components Perform machine alignments and accuracy checks Assist with machine moves, installations, leveling, and startup Perform ballbar testing and other machine diagnostic services when needed Read electrical schematics, machine manuals, and technical documentation Communicate findings and recommended repairs clearly with customers Complete accurate service documentation after each job Travel to customer facilities throughout the region as required
