CNC Machinist

Candidates will set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. May also fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures. The ideal candidate will have a Technical School certificate in machining, and experience operating Hass machines in a machine shop. This position is located in Pulaski, TN.

salary:

$24 - $29 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 6 AM - 4:30

PMeducation:

High SchoolResponsibilities Calculate dimensions or tolerances, using instruments such as micrometers or vernier calipersMachine parts to specifications, using machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grindersSet up, adjust, or operate basic or specialized machine tools used to perform precision machining operationsMeasure, examine, or test completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments, such as micrometersMonitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining processMaintain machine tools in proper operational conditionStudy sample parts, blueprints, drawings, or engineering information to determine methods or sequences of operations needed to fabricate productsDismantle machines or equipment, using hand tools or power tools to examine parts for defects and replace defective parts where needed The essential functions of this role include: working in a smoke free environmentwearing steel toe shoesworking in a non-temperature controlled environmentmanual lifting up to 35lbsstanding for 8 hours at one timeworking up to 8 hrs of overtime per week Skills CNC (2 years of experience is required)Blueprint Reading (3 years of experience is required)Math and CalculationMeasuring InstrumentsHass Machines (2 years of experience is required) Qualifications Years of experience: 2 yearsExperience level: Experienced Randstad is a world leader in matching great people with great companies.
