2015 certified, and we are looking for an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to join our turning department. This is a hands-on setup-and-run position on

equipment — an NLX 2500, an NL 1500, and a DuraTurn. You will own your setups from the print forward, not just load parts and push cycle start. What you'll do Set up and operate CNC lathes from blueprints, routers, and job travelers Write and edit programs at the control to get parts running and keep them running Select and build tooling, set offsets, and dial in first articles Run live-tooling and multi-axis turned work Perform in-process inspection with mics, calipers, bore gages, and thread gages, and document your checks Hold tolerances and finishes on aerospace-grade materials — aluminum, stainless, and alloy steels Troubleshoot dimensional and surface-finish issues and adjust accordingly Keep your machine, tooling, and work area in good order What we're looking for 3+ years of CNC lathe setup and operation experience Strong blueprint reading, including GD&T Comfortable creating and editing programs at the machine control Experience with live tooling, sub-spindle, or Y-axis turning Solid grasp of speeds, feeds, insert selection, and tool life Precision measuring tool proficiency and a habit of checking your own work Dependable attendance and willingness to work overtime as the schedule requires Requirements Must be a U.S. Person as defined under ITAR (22 CFR 120.62) due to the nature of our customers' work Must pass a background check High school diploma or equivalent Schedule Full-time, 1st shift, Monday through Friday Overtime expected Benefits Health insurance with employer contribution 401(k) with 4% company match Paid time off and paid holidays Overtime available Stable, long-term work in a growing shop Manda Machine Company is an equal opportunity employer.
