POSITION
CNC Machinist About the role: We are expanding our machining capabilities and looking for an experienced, CNC Lathe and Mill machinist. This is a high-impact role for someone who wants to take ownership, grow with the company, and play a key part in shaping how we machine plastic sheet, rod, tube, and custom parts for thousands of customers across North America. This is not just a "run parts" job•we need a driven individual who can set up, prove out, optimize, train others, and help us scale a best-in-class plastics machining operation. What you'll do: Set up and operate the lathes and mills work holding, tool setting, offsets, proving out new programs Develop creative solutions for a wide variety of plastic and metal materials (Acetal, Nylon, UHMW, PEEK, Polycarbonate, Acrylic, etc. 6061, 304, 316, 1018) Select tooling, speeds, feeds, and cutting strategies optimized for plastics (chip control, heat management, surface finish) Perform first-article and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools Troubleshoot programs, adjust offsets, sharpen/replace tools, and maintain tight tolerances of +•.001•0005 Train and mentor machine operators as we grow the department Work closely with quality and production teams to continuously improve processes and reduce cycle times Recommend additional equipment, tooling, work holding solutions, and best practices for plastics turning Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment (OSHA & company safety standards) We are looking for passionate leaders who bring initiative and creativity while putting the customer at the center of all they do! What you'll need: Hands-on experience setting up and running modern CNC turning centers with live tooling and Y-axis (Haas preferred) Strong background machining plastics or non-ferrous materials (understanding of chip formation, heat, tool pressure, and finishing in polymers) Ability to read blueprints, GD&T, and work from customer specifications Solid math, geometry, and trigonometry skills for calculating speeds/feeds and complex setups Entrepreneurial mindset•you see problems as opportunities and want to build something bigger Reliable, honest, team-oriented, and committed to quality and safety Able to regularly lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods 18+ years of age, eligible to work in the U.S., able to pass background check and drug screen Mastercam programming experience on Y-Axis lathes with live tooling and mills 4th axis capable (recent versions)•NOT required, but is a plus• What you'll get: Competitive base salary + bonus (profit sharing) Paid vacation, holidays, sick days, and personal business days Full benefits package (medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability) 401k + company match; 8% matched up to 4% (US employees) Tuition reimbursement Paid parental leave Opportunity for growth Who are we?
