Job Description

Job Summary and Duties To make parts that fully meet all required specifications for water and wastewater equipment. Typically perform the following job duties: Analyzing specification charts, samples and drawings to gain a thorough understanding of requirements Developing a plan of action to manufacture parts according to specifications Measuring and marking raw materials needed to manufacture parts Setting up equipment required to complete each step of the manufacturing plan Operating equipment to carry out each step correctly Monitoring the production process and intervening when problems arise Inspecting finished parts for flaws and defects Maintaining equipment located throughout the machine shop performing work involved in fabricating and machining pump, valve, pipe, and equipment parts and components from metal and plastic stock, work from blueprints, drawings, written specifications, and verbal instructions, and work using a variety of machine tools. Skills Previous CNC programming experience preferred Understanding of material properties & characteristics Working knowledge of various measuring gages: micrometers, pin gages, dial indicator, screw pitch gage, height gage, and comparator stand/gage Ability to interact effectively with customers, peers, management, manufacturing personnel, and both technical and non-technical people.
Pay:
$23.00 - $30.00 per hour
