Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Elderly Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to seniors in a home or community setting. This vital role involves delivering personalized care that promotes independence, dignity, and well-being. As an Elderly Caregiver, you will be a trusted companion and caregiver, ensuring residents' safety, comfort, and health through attentive observation and tailored assistance. Your energetic approach and commitment to quality care will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques Monitor and document vital signs, patient observations, and changes in health status to ensure timely intervention Administer medications following care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations and resident rights Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control standards are met Support residents' mental and emotional well-being through engaging communication and companionship Assist with transportation for medical appointments or community activities, ensuring safe patient transfer methods are used at all times Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and caring for individuals with neurodevelopmental or developmental disabilities Experience in patient monitoring, medication administration, first aid, CPR certification, and vital signs measurement is essential Familiarity with care plans, resident's rights, HIPAA compliance, manual handling techniques, heavy lifting, and patient transfer methods is required Background working with seniors or individuals with disabilities including intellectual disabilities support is advantageous Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines Join us in making a positive impact by providing compassionate elderly care that enhances quality of life.
