Job Description

The Clearlake Branch of Meador Staffing has partnered with a local manufacturing company to bring a Manual Machinist to their team. Responsibilties
  • Operate manual machining equipment, including lathes, mills, drill presses, and grinders
  • Machine components such as tubesheets, flanges, baffles, and other heat exchanger parts
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to determine machining requirements
  • Set up machines, select appropriate tooling, and calculate dimensions and tolerances
  • Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools
  • Maintain tight tolerances and ensure all parts meet quality and safety standards
  • Conduct routine maintenance on machines and keep work area clean and organized
  • Collaborate with welders, fabricators, and engineering teams to meet production timelines
  • Identify and troubleshoot machining issues to minimize downtime and material waste Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification preferred
  • 3+ years of experience operating manual machining equipment
  • Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment (heat exchanger or pressure vessel experience is a plus)
  • Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and materials (carbon steel, stainless steel, alloys)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Proficient with precision measuring instruments
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm Must be willing to work OT.
Pay rate:
$24-$32/ hour If interested
