As a 3rd Shift CNC Machinist, you will be scheduled for 10-hour days beginning on Sunday nights. During your shift, you will: Machine for tool builds and contract machining projects per our customer's expectations and CDM's quality standards. You'll be routinely expected to program and operate vertical machining centers as well as vertical and horizontal milling machines. Utilize your expertise to propose and implement improvements to design, quality, and manufacturing processes. Collaborate with other Machinists to maximize efficiencies on the machines. Collaborate with Toolmakers to ensure critical items are seamlessly addressed. Support and actively engage in 6S activities.

Trigonometry What does it take to be successful? You are safety-focused, team-focused, dependable, resourceful, and efficient. You lead by example. You are curious, take initiative, can work independently, and can make decisions in a fast-paced, small-business environment. You are quality-conscious and have strong attention-to-detail. You have at least five (5) years of experience as a CNC Machinist in the mold/tool making industry. You have at least three (3) years of CAM programming experience (preferably with WorkNC). You have a solid understanding of how the components of a plastic injection mold come together or you have some toolmaking experience. You have experience with and/or a willingness to learn how to utilize sinker EDM machines (Ingersoll Gantry 1300 and Mitsubishi EX30) or larger machines, such as an FPT Pragma. Why CDM?
