Halvorsen Drivetrain & Machinery is a family-owned manufacturer in Waukesha, WI, building industrial gearboxes since 1958. 1,150 people, 3 generations of the Halvorsen family, and 1,400 days without a lost-time injury at our main plant. The role You'll set up and run CNC lathes and mills in our gear shop, making precision gears and shafts from 2 inches to 6 feet in diameter.

Modern equipment:

Okuma and Mazak lathes, DMG Mori 5-axis mills, all under 7 years old.

Schedule:

2nd shift, Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM

• 11:30 PM. Overtime available at 1.5x. What you'll do
• Set up and run CNC lathes and mills from blueprints
• Edit G-code at the machine to improve cycle times
• Check your parts with micrometers, bore gauges and CMM reports
• Change tools and offsets, keep your machine running smoothly
• Flag quality issues. Anyone here can stop the line. What you need
• 2+ years running CNC lathes or mills in a production shop
• Can read blueprints and basic GD&T
• Comfortable with precision measuring tools
• Able to stand for a full shift and lift up to 50 lbs Nice to have
• Gear cutting, hobbing or grinding experience
• 5-axis experience
