Job Description

Job Summary We are a family and veteran owned and operated job shop in Chandler AZ, looking for a Shop Hand who can start immediately. Need experience in a machine shop environment. We are a fast paced high mix, medium volume job shop, in need of a self starter, who doesn't need to be micro managed. There is massive room for development inside the CNC shop environment, with raises and promotions available depending on how quickly you can learn the trade. Ideal candidate wants to be a machinist, and is eager to learn. Duties Assist with loading and unloading shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment Operate the band saw to cut specifications listed on the job traveler Debur parts using abrasive wheels, grinders, sanders, and other hand tools. Wash finished parts and maintain accurate counts of completed parts Pack and ship completed orders in a manner that will prevent from shipping damage Manage inventory by organizing stock, conducting regular cycle counts, and maintaining accurate records Ensure safety procedures are followed during all warehouse activities, including manual handling and heavy lifting tasks Maintain a clean, organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency throughout the warehouse Qualifications Previous CNC machine shop experience with CNC operations is highly preferred Demonstrated ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks safely Previous experience with measuring equipment such as tape measure, calipers, height stands, scales, and micrometers is highly preferred Experience with inventory management systems and is advantageous preferred Strong manual handling skills with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely Experience with basic hand tools including drills, grinders, sanders Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments or inventory data Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively within a team in a fast-paced setting High attention to detail is required Join us as a Shop Hand and become an essential part of our CNC operations! Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
