A person in this role will be responsible for operating equipment and following procedures associated with the materials handling and packaging and will also work across production functions to assist in inventory management, quality control, and maintenance. This role is hiring on a 3-month temporary contract with possibility of turning into a permanent position following the initial term. Why Work with Us? Essential functions will include:
Machine Operation:
Monitoring performance and adjusting settings as required to perform tasks correctly Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in work area Follows SOP in operating plant equipment associated with size reduction, mixing, and packaging Properly load and unload machines, including accurate use of scales along all stages of the process Investigates and identifies operational problems, troubleshoots and adjusts the run accordingly Maintains logs and records Follows all safety requirements and proceduresQuality Control:
Incorporates quality standards and practices into daily work, helps spot and report potential quality issues, and help implement any changes Coordinates with R D to collect and analyze samples Works closely with Quality team to ensure all Quality programs are followed and standards are metMaintenance:
Regularly monitor and inspect manufacturing equipment; maintain related documentation Report current or potential issues to Supervisor Assists with repairs and maintenanceJob Requirements:
Ability to climb stairs and lift 75 lbs Be able to work in a loud environment while wearing hearing protection. Pays strict attention to details and thoroughness in the completion of job duties. Basic math and problem-solving skills High level of time management and task prioritization Willingness to take on multiple responsibilities and challenges. Flexibility in scheduling to meet growing customer and company demands (shift work is required, Overnights and OT possible) Works well alone and in small groups Housekeeping work required Follow all PPE requirementsEducation and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent 3 years previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing facility, or similar relevant experience Chemical manufacturing experience a plusPay:
