Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of industrial machinery, ensuring precision and adherence to safety standards throughout the production process. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality manufacturing operations by utilizing technical expertise in machine operation, blueprint reading, and mechanical troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will be proactive, safety-conscious, and committed to maintaining efficiency and quality in a fast-paced environment. Duties Operate and monitor various manufacturing equipment including CNC machines, stamping presses, flexo presses, press brake machines, CNC lathes, and milling machines to produce components according to specifications. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents to set up machines accurately. Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other measurement tools to ensure parts meet dimensional tolerances and GD&T standards. Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues on industrial equipment to minimize downtime. Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling tools while adhering to safety protocols. Set up tooling and fixtures for machining processes, ensuring proper alignment and calibration. Inspect finished products for quality control using shop math, precision measuring instruments, and visual inspection techniques. Document production activities accurately and communicate any deviations or issues to supervisors promptly. Support assembly line operations by assisting with fabrication, packaging, or material handling as needed. Follow all safety standards in production environments to maintain a safe workplace for all team members. Experience Proven experience operating CNC machinery including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, CAM programming, and CNC programming knowledge. Familiarity with Fanuc controls or similar CNC control systems is preferred. Strong understanding of mechanical blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings. Experience with fabrication processes such as stamping presses, press brakes, and tooling setup. Knowledge of industrial equipment troubleshooting and preventive maintenance practices. Prior factory or manufacturing facility experience is highly desirable. Ability to use hand tools effectively along with basic math skills for shop calculations. Demonstrated understanding of quality control procedures including dimensional measurements and GD&T standards. Competence in interpreting production documents and following detailed work instructions. Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high accuracy standards.
