Duties Operate packaging equipment efficiently and safely to assemble, fill, seal, and label products according to manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs). Handle materials with care, including heavy lifting and proper use of material handling equipment such as forklifts when necessary. Interpret production documents accurately to ensure correct product packaging specifications are followed. Conduct routine inspections of packaging lines and troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime. Adhere strictly to safety standards in production, including GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), FDA regulations, and safety protocols in all tasks. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packaging area, ensuring compliance with CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) guidelines. Assist in inventory management by tracking materials used and replenishing supplies as needed while following warehouse operations procedures. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment and packaging machinery effectively. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in manufacturing automation systems. Knowledge of FDA regulations, CGMP, and GMP standards relevant to pharmaceutical or food manufacturing environments. Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts safely and efficiently. Ability to interpret complex production documents and follow detailed instructions accurately. Basic math skills for measuring, counting, and verifying quantities during packaging processes. Understanding of safety standards in manufacturing environments and commitment to safety protocol adherence at all times. Industrial equipment troubleshooting skills combined with a proactive approach to resolving mechanical issues quickly.
