Trojan Battery Company is searching for the next great Manufacturing Machine Operator. Your role can be in one of many areas involved in the production of our world class batteries. As a Manufacturing Machine Operator, you will be committed to performing your role safely and wearing all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), including a respirator. This role is a great opportunity to jump start your career in a new and exciting direction! What Your Day to
Day Looks Like:
§ Must be clean shaven § You must be able to lift 50-80 lbs. and stand for long periods of time § Ability to work in a lead acid battery manufacturing plant § Sliding the battery along conveyor rollers § Assists in monitoring machine functions § Manually on and off raw materials from/to machines § Filling the fluid and capping properly § Performs visual inspections for quality and quantity. Notifies others of problems or inconsistencies § Solving the problems and recommending solutions § All employees must follow strict hygiene rules including mandatory showering and lunch periods onsite § Ability to use hand tools and learn specific machine controls, gauges, etc. § Wearing PPE when directed to § Ability to work in extreme temperature and heavy environment § The ability to bear down and get the job done rain or shine, sleet, or snow; You'll work hard until the last item slides off the line EDUCATION and/or Experience § 2-3 years manufacturing/plant experience with a strong and consistent work history § Forklift Certification preferred § Basic English proficiency to interpret work and apply safety instructions § Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) What We'd Like You to
