This role is responsible for operating Beagle Tech's AI-powered harvesting equipment during customer demonstrations, field deployments, product testing, and commercial operations. Unlike a traditional technician role, this position is focused on operating agricultural equipment safely and efficiently in real farming environments. The ideal candidate is comfortable driving tractors, working long hours in the field during harvest season, troubleshooting operational issues, and serving as the primary machine operator while collaborating closely with our engineering team. Responsibilities Operate Beagle Tech's autonomous harvesting system during customer demonstrations and commercial deployments. Safely operate tractors and other agricultural equipment in various field conditions. Transport, set up, and prepare equipment before field operations. Perform pre-operation inspections and post-operation maintenance checks. Monitor machine performance during operation and communicate any issues to the engineering team. Assist engineers with field testing, product validation, and software updates. Perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs to keep equipment operating in the field. Clean, maintain, and properly store equipment after each deployment. Support customer training by demonstrating proper machine operation and safety procedures. Maintain accurate records of machine usage, maintenance, and field observations. Travel to customer locations throughout California and occasionally to other states as needed. Qualifications Experience operating tractors or agricultural equipment. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to work long hours during harvest seasons, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends. Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and resolve minor equipment issues. Strong safety awareness and attention to detail. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Experience with vegetable harvesting equipment or specialty crop farming is a strong plus. CDL is a plus but not required.
