Job Title:
Clean Room Operator Job Description The Clean Room Operator plays a key role in safely operating and monitoring production equipment in a controlled cleanroom environment. This position ensures that raw materials, in-process products, and finished assemblies meet strict quality standards while following detailed standard operating procedures. The role involves accurate documentation of production activities, routine equipment care, and adherence to all safety and cleanroom protocols. Responsibilities Operate and monitor production equipment in accordance with established standard operating procedures (SOPs). Follow all safety rules and consistently wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including full cleanroom attire, throughout the shift. Inspect raw materials, in-process products, and finished electrodes or assemblies to verify compliance with defined quality standards. Accurately record production data, equipment readings, and quality inspection results in designated systems and logs. Identify and report basic equipment or process issues and assist with troubleshooting to maintain smooth production operations. Operate industrial material-handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move raw materials and semi-finished products safely. Perform routine cleaning of machines and work areas to maintain a safe, orderly, and contamination-controlled environment. Carry out minor maintenance tasks on production equipment as needed to support reliable operation. Read, understand, and follow written instructions and SOPs to complete tasks consistently and accurately. Work effectively in a cleanroom setting, maintaining required cleanliness and handling chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines. Support general production, machine operation, and assembly activities as needed to meet production targets. Essential Skills Ability to perform production and general labor tasks in a manufacturing environment. Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Comfortable standing for 12-hour shifts. Ability to read, understand, and follow SOPs and written instructions accurately. Willingness and ability to wear a bunny suit and full cleanroom PPE for the duration of the shift. Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment with exposure to chemicals, following all safety protocols. Capability to operate machines and participate in assembly and general production activities. Basic ability to identify and report equipment or process issues during operation. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Previous experience working in a cleanroom environment is preferred. Experience operating industrial equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks is an advantage. Attention to detail for accurate data recording and quality inspections. Reliability and consistency in following safety and cleanliness procedures. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a controlled cleanroom production facility that requires full cleanroom PPE, including a bunny suit, to maintain strict cleanliness and safety standards. Team members work 12-hour shifts from either 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., on schedules of Sunday-Tuesday or Thursday-Saturday, rotating every other Wednesday and alternating between 36-hour and 48-hour workweeks. Night shifts receive a premium pay rate. The environment involves working around chemicals, operating industrial equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, and performing machine operation and assembly tasks while maintaining an organized, safe, and contamination-controlled workspace. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Queen Creek, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $21.46/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
